Innovative Optical Designs
For example, if you need spill/glare control, our innovative design uses internal louvers instead of outdated external visors. The upshot? Light that's normally lost is redirected back onto the playing area. For greater lighting efficiency.

Not only that, the Sportsliter's special spill/glare design greatly reduces glare to the players, spectators and neighbors - by as much as 95%.

With Sportsliter's advanced engineering, fewer fixtures are needed overall - which results in lower installation, maintenance and energy costs in the long run.

Uses Standard Economical Metal Halide Lamps
Why is this important? We deliver outstanding performance using a commercially available metal halide lamp. This eliminates the need to special order proprietary and hard-to-find lamps which many other systems require. All of which makes an SLS system easier to keep up and running, day in and day out.

40°C Rated, Not Just 28°C

Just as impressive, the fixture ballast housings are rated to operate effectively in 40°C (104°F) ambient - surrounding - temperature, compared to the 28°C (82°F) found with other companies. From a maintenance point-of-view, our higher temperature rating translates into longer life and lower maintenance costs to you.

What can that mean? Savings in maintenance and labor, whether you install integral or remote ballasts. This is even more important if you live in hotter parts of the country where ambient (surrounding) temperatures can reach 100°.

The Truth About What "Initial" Light Levels Mean
Over the years the term initial light levels has generated some confusion in the specification of sports lighting.

Initial light level readings, based on ANSI (American National Standards Institute) standards, must be taken after 100 hours of system burn-in. Some numbers you may see are taken when the system is first installed and turned on, which can be up to 20% higher before burn-in. This is not the standard followed by companies working on a level playing field.

This ANSI standard rating is critical to getting what you paid for - all the light at real levels.
